Tour India with Mahatma Gandhi's Grandsons
This December 1st, 2009, GoPhilanthropic – a NY-based philanthropic travel company offers a truly unique opportunity to experience Gandhian principles, philosophy and support for humanity first-hand by traveling with Dr. Arun and Tushar Gandhi, grandsons of Mahatma Gandhi.

The trip will begin in Mumbai stopping at various humanitarian programs as well as significant historical Gandhian sites including his former residence. GoPhilanthropic travel groups go beyond simply touring—they play an active role in supporting grassroots education and empowerment programs while visiting regions. Each member of the traveling group commits to donating $1000 for a collective goal of $10-$15,000 which will be personally delivered in the form of material goods and educational tools needed in some of India's poorest regions.

Dr. Arun and Tushar Gandhi will guide the group to Kolhapur where they have started a project aimed at protecting and educating children have been subject to sexual and labor exploitation. GoPhilanthropic's group will visit and contribute to the program, meet the children and learn first hand how Gandhian philosophy continues to inspire grassroots movements in rural India. The group will be joined by filmmakers from MAI Entertainment (Canada) who are in the process of developing -In The Footsteps of Gandhi – a documentary aimed at answering a question we would all love the answer to—“What would Gandhi do if he were alive today?"
