Trailblazing Women's Events at Montana's Triple Creek Ranch

The Women's Rocky Mountain Rendezvous in May and Klicks for Chicks in October are annual women-only events, focused on horseback riding along some of the most scenic trails in the Bitterroot Mountain Range.

Triple Creek Ranch owner Barbara Barrett - a trained United States astronaut, former U.S. Ambassador to Finland, and a passionate horsewoman - delights in hosting both of these enriching getaways. Guests have the opportunity to discover their inner Annie Oakley by participating in cattle work and practicing their marksmanship at archery and trap shooting. At day's end, there are the luxurious comforts of Triple Creek Ranch, an adults-only retreat that was voted the World's Best Hotel in the Travel + Leisure 2014 World's Best Awards and named a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel in 2015. This six-day event is a celebration of cowgirl culture, with activities ranging from horseback riding and fly-fishing to sapphire panning and cattle work. Guests will take scenic hikes to hot springs, savor lavish picnics on the trail and enjoy a gemstone jewelry trunk show back at the Lodge.

Klicks for Chicks
October 13 - 18, 2015

This annual all-women ride benefits the non-profit Summit for Parkinson's. Riders set out daily, venturing deep into the Montana wilderness over mountain passes, past crystal clear lakes and through pristine meadows. They return to the ranch in late afternoon, where cocktails, gourmet food, luxury cabins and the rich camaraderie of kindred cowgirl spirits await. A fireside awards ceremony at the home of Triple Creek Ranch's owner, Barbara Barrett, follows the last day's ride. Triple Creek Ranch donates a dollar for every "klick" (kilometer) ridden by every cowgirl over the course of the event to Summit for Parkinson's.

Cabin rates for both Women's Rocky Mountain Rendezvous and Klicks for Chicks start at $950 per cabin per night, based on double occupancy, including luxurious accommodations, snacks, breakfast, lunch, gourmet dinners, house wines and house spirits, and all featured on-ranch activities.
