Train with a Wimbledon Champion at Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi

This winter, Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi is offering guests not only a sun-soaked paradise in which to relax and retreat, but a fitness haven to tone, train and hone their perfect serve under the guidance of professional tennis players.

Catering to travellers seeking active luxury, the newly opened Fairmont Maldives has recruited a set of ace instructors – including 2013 Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli, as well as Fabio Fognini and Janko Tipsarevic, to offer complimentary one-on-one coaching for sport-enthused guests. Held on the resort’s brand-new regulation tennis courts, the exclusive sessions aim to serve up top training tips and help guests to perfect their serve.

The fitness doesn’t stop there. Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi is home to the original Maldivian Warrior Workout. Taking it back to basics and using only the natural tools of the earth, this warrior-style workout takes place on the idyllic sugar-white beach, and uses coconut shells, wooden blocks, logs and rocks, opposed to conventional weights, for the most fun and immersive workout yet.

Gym goers looking for a more traditional fitness session, group and personalised individual workout classes are held in the resort’s state-of-the-art fitness studio - from Aerial Yoga and Pilates, to more intense aerobic exercises. Guests can follow their session with a swim in the crystal-clear lagoon, run along the beach, or meditate under swaying palms for an unforgettable wellness experience, only found on this ‘secret water island’.

Marion Bartoli, Fabio Fognini, Janko Tipsarevic and Rainer Schuettler will be available for complimentary, one-on-one tennis coaching throughout November and December at Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi. For more information visit Fairmont.com/Maldives
