Tucson's Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain Sets December Opening
The new Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain will open on Dec. 18, 2009, debuting amid the scenic, high desert landscape northwest of Tucson, Arizona. The property features three swimming pools, a 235-foot waterslide and four dining venues.
Nestled in the foothills of the Tortolita Mountains, the resort offers 250 guest rooms and a cluster of secluded, multi-bedroom casitas ideally suited for families and friends. Just outside the doors of the resort, there are more than 20 miles of charted hiking and biking trails -- specially commissioned by The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain ownership and clearly mapped by National Geographic -- that that wind through dramatic mountain terrain. Bordering the resort, the Tortolita Mountain Park offers 3,000 undisturbed acres and some of the most soothing desert landscape in the Southwest.
The resort's Sonoran Golf and Spa Adventure Package is being featured at opening. The package combines rounds on the course that challenges the golf world’s legends during the Accenture Match Play Championship and signature spa treatments that reflects the enchanting high desert habitat.
