Fiji's Turtle Island Featured in 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue
With 500 acres of lush rainforest, 14 pristine white sand beaches and the most romantic reputation in the world, it is no wonder that the editors of Sports Illustrated chose Turtle Island Resort in Fiji as one of the locals to shoot the famous 2011 Swimsuit issue.

The resort provided the stunning backdrop while hosting models such as Julie Henderson, Alyssa Miller, Genevieve Miller and Anne V. Photos, information and videos about the shoot can be found on https://www.turtlefiji.com/SI-Swimsuit-2011/Behind-the-Scenes. Fiji's International Airline, Air Pacific, provided the transportation for the crew of Sports Illustrated.

Turtle Island is no stranger to celebrity. The movie Blue Lagoon was shot on Turtle in 1980 and it has subsequently been host to numerous high-profile guests including Jessica Simpson, Vanessa Williams, Rob Lowe and Britney Spears. Turtle Island in Fiji hosts no more than 14 couples at any given time and provides each couple with a private suite called a "bure" – Fijian for house- and a dedicated Bure Mama to attend to every need and wish while staying at the resort. Turtle Island was most recently the only resort in Fiji to make the Brides magazine's "Brides Best Honeymoon Awards" list (March 2011) and has been called "hyper-romantic" by Condé Nast Traveler.
