Visit San Diego's Little Italy - A Great Winter Travel and Culinary Destination
Thanks to the innovations, perseverance and creativity of neighborhood non-profit management corporation, the Little Italy Association. There's no better place to spend a vacation this winter season than a place where it's always 72-degrees!

Little Italy neighborhoods across the country are dwindling, specifically in New York and Chicago, but Little Italy San Diego is thriving more than ever before. With over 48-square-blocks of shopping, cafes, a weekly Farmer's Market and restaurants with some of the most buzz worthy chefs blazing a culinary trail (such as Richard Blaise, Deborah Scott and Brian Redzikowski). The neighborhood is on a steep rise and has no plans of slowing down.

In addition to the explosion of retail offerings and restaurants, it is also proving itself to be an innovator for civic planning. Currently, a block-wide public piazza is being constructed on the corner of India St. and W. Date St., and is slated for completion in 2016. This public space will eventually serve as the civic center of the neighborhood–creating a location for residents and visitors to relax, mingle and enjoy the sights and sounds of Little Italy, all while being able to enjoy a beautiful view of the San Diego Bay.
