St Lucia and Turks & Caicos
Tied fourth in our study were St Lucia and Turks & Caicos, where an equal number of our analyzed celebrities regularly chose to vacation.
A major attraction on the eastern Caribbean island is Hotel Chocolat (pictured). At St Lucia's oldest cocoa plantation, you can take the unique opportunity to create your very own chocolate from cacao bean to bar. The Sugar Beach Resort in St Lucia is famous for its celebrity history - Matt Damon rented the entire hotel and invited big names, including George Clooney, Ben Affleck, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, for a ceremony where he renewed his wedding vows.
About 870 miles north of St Lucia is Turks & Caicos. The archipelago of 40 low-lying coral islands is a must-visit vacation to spot the likes of Rhianna and Lily Aldridge. For about $7,000 per week, you'll be vacationing like the Kardashians and their partners, with Kylie, Kourtney, and Kim all staying on one of the island's most secluded beaches. Amanyara is a must to catch a few rays (and celebs).
Maldives
For the ultimate luxury experience, celebrities love the tranquillity and privacy of the Maldives. If you want to travel like Joe Jonas, Millie Bobby Brown, and Orlando Bloom, the Maldives is for you. From swimming with whale sharks to diving with loggerhead turtles, the Indian Ocean is rich with biodiversity (and celebrities) - so a great place to find PADI-certified instructors. If you're looking for peace and quiet, Odell Beckham and Idris Elba have both stayed at One&Only Reethi Rah; rooms start at $4,500 per night; this tropical island paradise is not one to be missed.
Africa
Something about Africa seems to easily attract A-list visitors. For those looking for some romance, travel like Will and Kate - the Prince and Princess of Wales - who got engaged in Kenya, or emulate Jessica Biel’s honeymoon with Justin Timberlake in Tanzania. If you’d like a close encounter with giraffes while enjoying 5-star service, try The Giraffe Manor in Nairobi where Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia De Rossi stayed. The 1930s manor house has its own resident herd of endangered giraffes that can be fed from the window of your private suite.
Italy
Italy has it all: verdant landscapes, charming countryside villages, the world’s most popular cuisine and fashion to be envied. A-list guests such as Sylvester Stallone, Oprah, and Owen Wilson have been seen on social media enjoying private tours in the country.
