Wequassett Resort and Golf Club Receives Prestigious Awards
Recently, Forbes Travel Guide, formerly Mobil, honored Wequassett with their Four-Star Award for both the resort and its signature restaurant, twenty-eight Atlantic. The resort is one of only 157 hotels and one of 160 restaurants nationally to receive this distinction. The list has defined the hospitality industry's highest standard of excellence for over 50 years. Forbes Travel Guide provides one of the most comprehensive evaluation systems of hotels, restaurants and spas in the world. Wequassett was the only property on Cape Cod to receive the coveted four-star rating and one of only seven properties in Massachusetts.

The resort and its signature restaurant, twenty-eight Atlantic, received the distinguished AAA Four-Diamond Award for the eighth consecutive year. In accordance with AAA's rating guidelines, those properties that excel at this high level are upscale in all areas. The fundamental hallmarks at this level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail.

Wequassett earned the number 14 spot on Conde Nast Traveler's Top 75 Readers' Choice Awards for mainland U.S. Resorts. Being named one of the best in the Top 75 is indeed a crowning achievement for any hotel, service provider or destination.

Travel + Leisure honored Wequassett as one of the 2009 Top 50 Resorts in the U.S. and Canada; earning position number 34. Surveying discerning travelers worldwide, Travel + Leisure's top winners reveal the favorite luxury vacation spots from exciting cities to relaxing beaches, intimate boutique hotels to extravagant luxury resorts.

For the fourth consecutive year, Wequassett was honored with the Training Top 125 Award conducted by Training Magazine. The publication's annual award program recognizes employee-sponsored training and development. The resort is home to Wequassett Academy, which was founded on the premise that world-class service is achieved through education and training and offers over 70 courses for the resort's staff.

Finally, Wequassett was named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the employee-based survey from the Boston Globe. The award recognizes the most progressive companies in the state based on employee opinions about company leadership, compensation and training, diversity, career development, along with values and ethics.

"We have worked hard over the years to build a special company through the efforts of our talented and dedicated employees. We are extremely proud and honored to be the recipient of such a distinguished list of awards and we will work hard to live up to each and every one of them. It feels good to be recognized for our efforts and it validates the resort as the leading resort in the market," said Mark Novota, Managing Partner of Wequassett.

Wequassett Resort and Golf Club is set on twenty-seven acres of pristine waterfront. Nestled on the elbow of Cape Cod in Chatham, this immaculately landscaped property features 120 guest rooms and suites, four acclaimed restaurants, two magnificent pools and beach, boating, tennis and championship golf.
