Westhouse Hotel New York Unveils the Terrace
WestHouse Hotel New York, the luxury lifestyle hotel innovating Manhattan's hospitality landscape with its distinct “house away from home” concept, is pleased to unveil The Terrace, a stylishly refined enclave will offer WestHouse guests a luxurious, private sanctuary. Perched high above the city on the hotel's 23rd floor, The Terrace's expansive space boasts panoramic views of Manhattan and offers guests an assortment of breakfast presentations, afternoon teas, hors d'oeuvres and evening canapés in a venue that is exclusively their own.

Open throughout the day, it includes a kitchen and open dining room, private dining room, lounge and alfresco terrace. Like the rest of the bespoke property, The Terrace is accessible only to hotel guests, and the array of food and beverage presentations offered are all built into WestHouse's Residents Fee. While it offers the chic design, inviting comforts, and coveted outdoor real estate that makes other hotel rooftop retreats so popular, The Terrace at WestHouse is reserved for guests only, rendering it truly unique and completely private.

“At WestHouse, our guests really are our number one priority,” said Karla Keskin, General Manager, WestHouse Hotel New York. “Unlike other hotel rooftops and lounges, where guests may find they just another customer amongst the public, if they can get in at all, WestHouse's Terrace is exclusively for those who are staying with us. We are delighted to give our guests access to some of the most coveted outdoor space, breathtaking views, and thoughtfully curated experiences with the opening of The Terrace.”

Jeffrey Beers International (JBI), the award-winning firm responsible for WestHouse Hotel New York's lavish interiors, designed the stylish Terrace spaces. Weaving many of the design motifs and Art Deco influences found throughout The Den and the WestHouse Hotel lobby, JBI utilized a rich selection of materials to conceive The Terrace. Washed in warm shades of amber, soft gray and toasted beige, the space overall is characterized by accents including polished brass and bronze.

“We wanted to design the Terrace as a multifunctional dining and living space that feels like part of a home,” said Beers. “Like the rest of WestHouse Hotel, design details throughout the Terrace help to create a comfortable and inviting space.”

Guests will enter The Terrace through a central foyer, which leads into a multi-purpose space that is both functional and elegant, serving as a main dining room and kitchen. An eclectic art installation features rectangular brass plates on antique hooks, as well as framed antiqued keys and chic Deco mirrors. Decorative hammered tin panels with a brass finish accent the ceiling, An inviting 45- foot banquette, upholstered in lux camel-colored leather, offers ample seating. Tall wingback chairs upholstered in shades of navy blue, caramel brown, and smoky silver, add a depth of color, pattern and texture to the space.

In the center of The Terrace is a chic dining display for buffet-style breakfasts, afternoon tea, and evening canapé presentations. Its quartz stone counter resembles a residential kitchen island, with brass and wood stools suitable for singles dining. Evocative of the truly unique concept that WestHouse offers, guests can access this private Terrace at their leisure; whether they choose to pour themselves a glass of freshly squeezed juice from the well-stocked refrigerator, or prepare a cappuccino at the Nespresso station, The Terrace allows them to live as they would in their own home.

The private dining room features a striking long wood dining table, seating up to 8, with townhouse inspired details such as inset wall panels with original artwork, evocative of the personal collection one might keep in their own luxurious pied-à-terre. The adjoining outdoor terrace space is accented with inviting lounge area seating as well as dining tables, replete with oversized umbrellas for afternoon shade. Tall antique bronze metal trellis screens bookend the seating groups, which feature a variety of sectional sofas, dining tables and chairs, along with playful antique brass side tables. Tall glass and metal lanterns display candles for a warm and intimate glow in the evening.

The Terrace will be open to guests beginning on July 31st, further enhancing WestHouse's unique array of refined guest services and exclusively curated luxury amenities included in the daily Residents' Fee, unprecedented fee of just $30 per person, per night.
