Mexico: When Beetles Meet Butterflies

Mexico: When Beetles Meet Butterflies
Starting this November and until mid-March, the Traveling Beetle offers you the opportunity to meet the butterflies on the final leg of their extraordinary journey.

Leaving from Santiago de Queretaro (two-and-a-half hours north of Mexico City), voyagers will travel to some of the most exquisite colonial cities and towns of central Mexico in their own classic Beetle convertible. In convoys or on their own, travelers will visit San Miguel de Allende, Dolores Hidalgo and Guanajuato before they Beetle their way further south to the state of Michoacán and its majestic capital Morelia. Slipping on windbreakers, the group will then make its way to the mountains and pine forests of Michoacán, home to Mexico’s largest butterfly sanctuary situated near the cute little mining town of Angangueo.
