Wimbledon Takes Over Afternoon Tea at The Milestone in London
The Milestone's signature Wild About Wimbledon Afternoon Tea includes a number of new pastries that complement the tennis theme. The menu includes: Lemon "Ball" Pie; a Wimbledon blueberry and mint Macaron; a Championship Red Velvet Cupcake; Strawberries & Cream Tartlet; Pimms jelly on a pistachio biscuit and honeycomb ice-cream Cornetto. The menu also includes tea sandwich favorites, including Smoked Scottish Salmon and Cream Cheese, served on hotel owner Mrs. Tollman's signature Cape Seed Loaf; Egg and Hampshire Watercress; and Cucumber & Yogurt. The tea is priced at £40 per person (approx. US$57).

As the second best thing to actual Centre Court tickets at Wimbledon, The Milestone is also offering a Centre Court Afternoon Tea. This commemorative tea includes all of the above delicacies, along with a Pimms Champagne Cocktail and a "pick-your-own" strawberries basket accompanied by cream and cinnamon sugar. The special deluxe tea is priced at £49 per person (approx. US$70).

For those guests looking to add some bubbly to the occasion, a special Champagne tasting flight, including Lanson Pere et Fils, Lanson Rose Label and Lanson Extra Age, can be added to the Wild About Wimbledon Tea for an additional £40 per person, making this effervescent tea a total of £80 per person (approx. US$117). If the weather is nice, guests also have the option of indulging in the Wimbledon Tea on the green in Kensington Gardens.
