Named Andrew Harper's 2013 Hideaway of the Year, Awasi is a place to enjoy the natural splendor of the Atacama Desert without compromising privacy, personal comfort, or relaxation.

With only 8 dwellings, each guest room has over 550 sq. ft., a private patio, reading area, and outdoor shower. The architecture blends with the outside environment, as the hotel was constructed using the native materials of adobe, stone, and wood. Each dwelling has a private guide and vehicle assigned, allowing guests to design and choose any of the outings or walks they find most attractive - then customized to their interests, objectives and physical condition, without adjusting their trip to the pace or preference of other guests. In all its offerings, Awasi focuses on the smallest details to ensure a harmonious balance of relaxation & adventure, luxury & authenticity, and simplicity & sophistication. Awasi is made up of only eight adobe bungalows in the middle of the vast Atacama Desert, all with private outdoor patio, reading area, and both indoor and outdoor showers. Guests are free to relax in the privacy of the guestrooms or on one of the many cozy sofas and hammocks located in the large open air lobby.
