Set within the Golden Gate National Parks at the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge near Sausalito, California, Cavallo Point is the San Francisco Bay's first national park lodge. Located in historic Fort Baker, Cavallo Point tempts guests with exceptional activities, amenities and attractions. Within minutes, visitors can beach comb along the Pacific, ride a San Francisco cable car or hike the Marin Headlands. No matter what the pursuit, Cavallo Point is the ideal 'base camp' for discovery and new experiences in Northern California.
Cavallo Point offers 68 historic and 74 contemporary guest rooms and suites. Virtually all rooms feature stunning views of San Francisco, the Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge or the Marin Headlands. Our spacious, luxury accommodations provide guests a soothing space to unwind. All feature the highest-quality beds, certified organic linens, cozy reading chairs and windows that open to bay breezes. Many offer separate living rooms, gas fireplaces, and outdoor spaces to relax al fresco. Without compromising comfort or luxury, Cavallo Point is committed to the highest standards of historic preservation and sustainability. This stewardship reflects the lodge's environmental ethic and the mission of the national park site.
All cuisine is under the direction of Michelin two-star Executive Chef Joseph Humphrey. He oversees Murray Circle, Farley Bar, room service for lodge guests, banquet service for meetings, groups and special events, and Cavallo Point's on-site cooking school. Cavallo Point offers a selection of dining options to satisfy the cravings of Bay Area residents, San Francisco visitors and lodge guests who wish to pair exceptional food and an incomparable setting. Murray Circle is the signature restaurant for casually elegant dining and drinks. The menu celebrates the seasonal bounty of culinary producers in the San Francisco Bay Area as inspiration to create Bay Area Cuisine. Murray Circle also offers room service for Cavallo Point guests. Next door, Farley Bar, is a Bay Area gathering place for great casual food, wine, spirits and conviviality -- and to learn some local history of Sausalito and Fort Baker. The Tea Bar, in the Healing Arts Center & Spa, offers a light menu, including snacks, teas and healthy tonics. In addition, for meetings and groups large and small, including weddings and social events, catering, private dining and banquet facilities are all available through Murray Circle.
Whether guests come for meetings or events, friends or family weekends, romantic getaways or time alone, each will leave with a renewed sense that life is an adventure to seek and savor.
