ACCOMMODATIONS

King Billy Suites - Representing the ultimate in accommodation, these are expansive, featuring separate sleeping and living areas including a king-size bed and oversized bathroom with two-person spa.

Spa Cabins - located in a natural bush setting and are private and peaceful. Verandahs offer views through the treetops or directly into the surrounding Myrtle forest. Large sofa chairs sit before a log fire and a spacious bathroom includes a spa bath and separate shower.

Spa Suites - large private verandah with views towards the surrounding wilderness.

Pencil Pine Cabins - offer commanding Lodge Lake and bushland views. Available in both regular and family cabin, simple in style but comfortable, with queen bed and Tasmanian wood furnishings, and with all the standard in-room features of the other categories, including a log fire.

Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, in Tasmania's World Heritage Wilderness Area, offers a rugged environment with many wilderness retreats and walking tracks. Icy streams, ancient pines, glacial lakes and wildlife surround the jagged contours of Cradle Mountain. The area is one of the most glaciated in Australia and includes Tasmania's highest mountain, Mt Ossa (1617 metres) and Lake St Clair, Australia's deepest natural freshwater lake, the source of the River Derwent.

Cradle Mountain Lodge offers scheduled transfers in air-conditioned Landcruisers or Mini-buses from Devonport, 1.5 hrs., Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays only. Two hours from Launceston airport.
