Benesse House Spa provides natural therapies that extend the rich experience of Naoshima into the nourishment of body and mind. Benesse House Spa provides holistic natural therapies which use the power of nature to heal and promote harmony throughout every cell of the body. The treatments include aroma therapy using essential plant oils carefully selected by our therapists, thalassotherapy utilizing Naoshima's Inland Sea climate and the richness of the ocean, and stone therapy, which transfers the energy of natural stones to your body and mind. Based on this holistic approach, Benesse House Spa aims to draw out the body's natural power to heal itself, strengthen your immune system, and help restore the original balance of your body, mind, and soul. ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS Benesse Art Site Naoshima offers a selection of luxury accommodations: Park - the largest Benesse House accommodation, is a two-story wooden building with one reinforced concrete underground floor and a total of 41 guest rooms. It was constructed to blend in with the surrounding woods. In addition to a lounge for exclusive use by overnight guests, Park features a spa and shops that are open to the general public. Opened in 2006. Beach - a two-story wooden building with eight suite guest rooms, is located closest to the beach. Along with Park, Beach was designed to be environmentally friendly, using easy-to-recycle laminated timber. Relax and enjoy yourself in the easygoing atmosphere against the background of the sound of waves. Opened in 2006. Museum - In addition to the art displays, Museum features 10 guest rooms, a restaurant, a café a library, and a shop. Works of art are on display throughout the building for a sensuous experience of being literally surrounded by art. Opened in 1992. Oval - Located on the top of a hill, Oval is an exclusive accommodation with six guest suites, connected to Museum via a monorail. Leisurely enjoy the architecture and views to your heart’s content with an inner garden featuring an oval pond and a rooftop garden providing a stunning panorama of the Seto Inland Sea. The bar lounge offers cocktails and other refreshments. Opened in 1995. Benesse House Shop - The shop in the Park Building provides various goods such as towels with Benesse House logo, hotel amenity goods and Naoshima’s souvenirs as well as the books and goods related to Benesse Art Site Naoshima. Park Hall - Theater style (with chairs): Max. capacity of 180 people. School style (with tables and chairs): Max. capacity of 100 people. Buffet style: Max capacity of 100 people. Lecture Room - Theater style (with chairs): Max. capacity of 60 people. School style (with tables and chairs): Max. capacity of 30 people. DINING Benesse Art Site Naoshima offers these dining options: Benesse House Museum Restaurant - The menu features exquisite seasonal dishes, based around Japanese cuisine (kaiseki ryori), and utilizing fresh seafood from the Inland Sea. Benesse House Museum Café - Serves soft drinks with terrace seating available during good weather. Benesse House Oval Bar - Relax in this quiet exclusive bar for overnight guests, inside the Oval on top of the hill. Benesse House Terrace Restaurant - Please enjoy foodstuffs fostered by Setouchi’s soil, sea and sunlight. Benesse House Park Lounge - Quiet lounge exclusively for overnight guests in the underground 1st floor. Please help yourself with Coffee, Tea and Herbal Tea. Benesse House Park Hall - This banquet space suits business or private events such as receptions, seminars and international conferences. ACTIVITIES Benesse House Spa - Before your treatment, feel free to enjoy a Jacuzzi bath in the outside deck area, with its foliage-filtered sunshine and soothing sea breeze, and relax your weary body and mind. Treatments for Women Aroma Therapy - Quality essential oils extracted from plants are used for this all hand treatment. Thalassotherapy - This natural therapy increases your inherent healing power by using high mineral content sea mud and seaweed produced by the Inland Sea marine climate of Naoshima. Stone Therapy - This treatment transfers the energy that is only found in natural stones to your mind and body. Lymph Drainage - This treatment improves the flow of the lymphatic system inside the body. GETTING THERE AIRPORT: When going to Naoshima by plane, we suggest that you use Takamatsu Airport or Okayama Airport. When coming by Shinkansen Bullet Train, it is convenient to arrive via JR Okayama Station. Book Flights TRANSPORTATION: Benesse House provides a courtesy bus service to and from Miyanoura Port.
