5 STAR LUXURY HOTEL12 ROOMS & 9 SUITES

Chateau de Bagnols, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is a story-book castle dating from the Middle Ages. The hotel is set amongst picture-perfect vineyards, green hills and gardens filled with lavender, cherry and lime trees in the heart of the beautiful Beaujolais countryside. This 13th century castle has been lovingly restored to its former glory to become what is now France's finest five-star Chateau hotel. The rooms, all with private bathrooms, have been furnished with soft velvets and shimmering silks, rare and beautiful antiques, tapestries and wall paintings dating back to the 15th century. Even though the chateau dates from the Middle Ages, amenities are 21st century, including plasma screen TV and Internet connection. Salles des Gardes is rated one Michelin star and has the largest Gothic fireplace in Europe. Serving French culinary excellence at its best, paired with fine wines. Le Cuvage, part of the château’s original wine-making facility, is a stone-walled room now used for wine tastings. Large, round Roman swimming pool is heated and located in the picturesque gardens with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Other activities in the area include Hot Air Ballooning, Cycling, Horseback Riding, Walking, Hikes, Guided Excursions of the Wine Trail.
