LUXURY HOTEL952 ROOMS & 64 SUITES

The legendary grande dame of Tokyo's hotels, the Imperial is within walking distance of everything important in the city. The park-side Imperial features impeccable attention to detail; lavish, award-winning cuisine; and airy suites traditionally favored by statesmen, royalty, and celebrities. Personalized services make it Tokyo's address of choice for discerning executives.

Commissioned by the Imperial Palace in 1890 as the first European-style hotel in Japan, this landmark has seen generations of famous figures (Babe Ruth among them) pass through its doors, survived World War II, and currently is on its third structure. The 1923, Frank Lloyd Wright–designed version outlasted the Great Kanto Earthquake, which struck the day after its re-opening. Today’s two-building hotel still hosts politicians, holidaymakers, business guests, and sightseers who wouldn’t visit Tokyo without stopping in for a look.
