Hidden away in the heart of Provence, Domaine de La Verriere is a private estate comprised of a medieval priory and winery surrounded by its own working vineyard and lush private woodlands in a nature reserve. La Verriere is available by appointment to host private, professional and cultural retreats in a relaxed atmosphere.
Lovingly restored to the highest standards, and completed with state-of-the-art amenities, the manor has seven guestrooms and suites for up to eighteen visitors, including children. Additional off-site housing is available locally.
Four suites and three double guestrooms accommodate up to eighteen guests. High standards of quality and comfort are maintained throughout the property, with particular attention to privacy and soundproofing.
Provencal themes inspire the individual decor of each accommodation. The finest large mattresses, Frette linens, and Canadian silk duvets ensure resful nights and productive days. Decorative fabrics include Pierre Frey, Nina Campbell, Nobilis and Chelsea Textiles.
En suite bathrooms have powerful showers, Lefroy Brooks and Herbeau luxury fixtures, Frette towels and Marius Fabre toiletries.
The house invited use as a place for celebrations and special events. All seven guestrooms may be reserved for your private party, and additional guests can stay in the winery rooms or in neighboring Crestet.
In all there are five separate outdoor areas in which to welcome guests. You can host intimate gatherings, several parallel events, or 200 guests in one place.

Tour the Papal Palace in Avignon and the famous Jewish landmarks in Carpentras. Raid the chic shops in Aix-en-Provence; ride bareback in the Camargue, the cowboy region of France. Climb the castle ruins in Les Baux, collect the pottery of Dieu-le-Fit and the olives and olive oils of Nyons. Drink your way down the Route des Vins or breathe the perfumes of the Route de La Lavande. Discover the antiques dealers of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and the deco destinations of Luberon, all less than two hours away. La Verriere can assist you in planning day trips to any of these places.
Wine enthusiasts should not miss the enologically significant villages of Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Beaume de Venise. Chateauneuf-du-Pape is not much further afield. GETTING THERE
La Verriere is in the Vaucluse region of Provence, nestled 550m/1,700 ft. high at the edge of the 81,000 hectare/200,000 acre protected UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Mont Ventoux. The property rests on the northern slopes of a spectacular limestone outcrop locally known as the Dentelles de Montmirail. It is situated above Crestet, an unspoiled medieval hilltop village, a few minutes' drive from Vaison-la-Romaine and 45 minutes northeast of Avignon.
