ROOMS & SUITES: 12 Whether it's relaxing in the 1910 adobe hacienda, or exploring the Red Rock wilderness and Grand Canyon with in-house guides, El Portal can give you an unparalleled Arizona experience.
Sedona's best location - adjacent to Tlaquepaque and Los Abrigados in Sedona's historic Arts district. Now featuring the finest Saturday night dining experience in Sedona as well as superb daily breakfasts. When it comes to spectacular scenery, Sedona, Arizona easily stands out as one of the wondrous places on this planet. A hundred miles south of the Grand Canyon, this is Red Rocks Country, a mystical land where time and the elements have seared 1500-foot canyons through the sandstone and sculpted dramatic monoliths against the sky. Long revered as a powerful energy vortex - a place where universal energy is concentrated - spiritual seekers flock to Sedona for an infusion, and for generations painters and writers have settled here to fuel their creativity.
All furnishings of the suites are authentic to the period 1900-1930 and, in the few instances where original antique furniture was unavailable, we have commissioned custom reproductions by modern artisans. Every room in El Portal is unique and full of individual character, thanks to the striking architectural design of Design Group Architects of Sedona, and the luxurious interior design by L. Bourgeois Interiors. Room linens include featherweight cashmere blankets, luxury Egyptian cotton sheets and bath towels, and premium down pillows and comforters for the ultimate in restful comfort. All guest rooms include television, radio, DVD, internet access and free local calls. An extraordinary gourmet breakfast* is served each morning, and exceptional afternoon hors doeuvres and drinks are provided by our executive chef, Eden Messer. Your room also includes basic spa privileges at the Los Abrigados resort, next door to the inn.
