Georges Hotel was created and designed entirely by Alex Varlık and Eric Kamhi, making use of local craftsmen, knowhow and materials. The façade was renovated by the renowned architect Han Tümertekin.
Our building, once named after its first owner, famous Ottoman Doctor de Castro was built in 1882 and is located in the heart of the old European district of Istanbul. Few meters away stands the mighty Genovese Galata Tower, Christea Turris, dating back to 1348.
Georges is the one and only luxury hotel in Turkey which won the “World Best Business Hotel” award by Wallpaper* magazine in 2012 and was listed in both the Hot List and the Gold List by Condé Nast Traveller, 2013 and 2015 respectively.
