AIRPORTBagdogra International Airport (IXB) GETTING THEREDarjeeling, in the Himalayan foothills, is at an elevation of almost 7,000 ft. There are daily Jet Airways and Indian Airlines flights from Kolkata (45 mins), Guwahati (30 mins) and New Delhi (2 hours) to Bagdogra. Glenburn is a two and a half hour drive from the airport. The Jet Airways flight from Delhi stops at Guwahati on alternate days and guests are advised to take the direct connection (Delhi-Bagdogra-Delhi) which considerably shortens the flying time. |
