Tucked offshore of Little Torch Key and accessible only by boat or seaplane, the resort is a world unto itself, alive with hidden pleasures. Crushed seashell paths wind through lush gardens to thatched-roof bungalows, which serve as your guest quarters. Extra spacious, each suite and grand suite has romantic touches such as a king-size bed draped in butterfly netting, verandahs with ocean views and, in some rooms, private outdoor showers and jetted tubs.

President Harry S. Truman and wife, Bess, visited often when the island was a private fishing retreat, and President Kennedy came when PT-109, the story of his World War II exploit, was filmed here. Hundreds of Jamaican Tall coconut palms grace the shoreline, planted by the first inhabitant, Newton Munson.

28 Bungalow Suites - Dream-like Florida Keys accommodations, these private thatched-roof bungalows are designed to be one with nature - which means your next-door neighbor may very well be an exotic bird residing in a palm tree. Each ocean front bungalow suite has one-bedroom with a king bed, a separate living area, indoor and private outdoor shower, Jacuzzi whirlpool bath, mini bar, coffee maker, in-room safe, hair dryer, robes, modem hook-up (not fast access), and balcony.
