Inspired by nature, The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa is an iconic Australian destination in the majestic surrounds of Byron Bay. Sitting lightly within its very own 45 acres of sub tropical rainforest, the resort offers an endless showcase of lush green to soothe and heal.

Achieving numerous awards and accolades since opening, The Byron at Byron considers positive guest experiences their most valuable award. Six metre wide timber verandahs surround the key living areas of restaurant, spa, reception and conference area. It is here, on countless lounges beside the infinity pool and beneath the canopy of rainforest, that the spirit of The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa is truly seen.

The wide rainforest veranda, the heart of the resort, is an architectural masterpiece with the surrounding rainforest taking centre stage. "The verandahs are our living room," says General Manager John Parché. "Guests mingle and chat, attend to business or take a nap. They provide shared yet quiet space to appreciate the natural beauty that we are so lucky to enjoy here."

John and his wife Lyn Parché, boast a forty year career as hoteliers. Having established and managed some of the world’s finest hotels and resorts, including Aman Resorts across the globe, their experience sets them apart in today's fast paced travel industry. The appreciation of service and attention to detail that they bring is rare.

Under their stewardship The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa has received Best Resort Accommodation in the Australian Travel & Tourism Awards for the last two years (2008 & 2009), #2 Best Spa in Australia in the Luxury Travel Gold List Awards 2010 and the Sustainability Award at the Northern Rivers Urban Design Awards 2008.

The resort offers 92 one bedroom suites, Spa and Wellness Centre, 25 metre heated infinity pool, gymnasium, tennis court, sauna, restaurant serving locally inspired cuisine and state of the art meeting space. Each spacious suite enjoys a galley kitchen, lounge area, plasma television, California king bed, freestanding deep bathtub, two separate enclosed balconies and complimentary wireless internet. All suites are a short walk to Tallow Beach.

Private timber boardwalks meander through the rainforest to stunning Lake Tallow, passing romantic bridges and pagodas, creeks and ponds which are home to native friends such as Great Egrets, Black Wallabies, Bush Turkeys and the endangered Mitchell Rainforest Snail. A weekly guided rainforest walk depicts the abundant flora and fauna.

Instilling tranquility of mind and the luxury of time is key to The Byron at Byron ethos. Complimentary daily yoga classes facilitated by life extension specialist Sheldon Leon take place on the Spa deck. The Byron at Byron Spa and Wellness Centre is a haven for the body and soul, with six treatment rooms crafted from rich timbers, a steam room, Vichy Shower and spas. Therapists are trained in a variety of disciplines, reflecting today's need for holistic wellness. Pevonia Botanica and iKOU eco spa products are utilised in spa journeys such as Flanner Flower Relax and Cypress Sojourn.
