Cidade Matarazzo – Luxury Mixed-Use Project in Sao Paulo, Brazil
The Cidade Matarazzo project, which is the largest heritage site renovation in Brazil, includes 274 hotel rooms and luxurious suites by Rosewood, a luxury congress center with 7 ballrooms, event places, a chapel, a cultural center with theater, an exhibition hall, a music studio and cinema, 34 restaurants, a campus for creative technology ventures, a 20,000 square meter poetic garden with 15 terraces, a retail village gathering more than 200 brands and artisans, and 1,500 parking spaces. Planning permission, including approval from the heritage council, was delivered in January 2015.

The project includes a 145,000 sqm construction area, and excavation and foundation works are now completed for the tower designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Jean Nouvel. Groupe Allard currently anticipates that the project will open to the public in July 2019.

Douglas Elliman Real Estate has been appointed as the exclusive sales and marketing agent for Cidade Matarazzo.

Cidade Matarazzo is preparing to launch the sale of the Rosewood owners’ Suites available for investors who will be able to enjoy full use of the project’s amenities and generate hotel room revenues as well. At this stage, Banco Votorantim, through its asset managing subsidiary Votorantim Asset Management (VAM), is participating in the financial structuring of the operation, involving funds of approximately R $250 million.
