To kick-start the summer, Raymond joined both household names and emerging superstars at Taste of London (17-21 June) and team up with Rhubarb to create exclusive, gastronomic hospitality packages at Royal Ascot (17 – 21 June). Following this, Raymond will host a banquet extraordinaire at this summer’s Wilderness Festival (6-9 August), before gracing the AEG Big Kitchen at Big Feastival (28-30 August).

Guests of the Raymond Blanc Cookery School at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons can enjoy a sizzling summer of al fresco pleasure with the Summer Barbecue Course. The course, run by Raymond Blanc’s Development Chef Adam Johnson, will help students to expand their barbecue repertoire beyond bangers and burgers. Students will learn to create a host of surprising dishes on a barbecue, together with exciting salads, marinades, dry rubs and sauces. The course includes full day tuition, morning and afternoon tea, an informal lunch on La Belle Époque Terrace (weather permitting) and a course certificate. The day starts at 8.45am and ends at approximately 4.45pm and is priced at £440 per person. Courses are scheduled for 25 June and 23 July.

New for 2015 – Summer Garden Tours for Non-Residents
In answer to the wealth of requests for this, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons has introduced garden tours for non-residents. The tours are available between Monday and Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). The tours start at 10:00am with coffee, tea and biscuits in the lounges followed by a tour of the gardens at 10:45am (£30.00 per person). A summer evening tour is also available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between June and September. Tours begin at 6:30pm and guests receive a glass of champagne by the Glass House (£50 per person). Guests will have the opportunity to discover the two-acre kitchen garden, the first-ever wild mushroom valley in the UK, a Japanese tea garden, heritage garden, wild flower meadow, old apple orchard and rockery bed of flowering herbs designed by Lloyd Le Blanc. Tours must be booked in advance.

Summer Events at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons
Throughout 2015, Raymond Blanc has been welcoming back past members of team to host a series of Diner des Protégés at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. Paul Heathcote (24 June), Adam Simmonds (15 July) and Eric Chavot (16 September) will all be taking part as part of the summer series, followed by Bruno Loubet (21 October) and Alan Murchison (25 November) in the autumn. The Diner des Protégés evenings include a champagne Laurent-Perrier reception with canapés and a signature dinner with accompanying wines, coffee and petits fours. The evenings are priced at £225 per person.

In one of the classic sporting moments of all time, Sir Matthew Pinsent led Great Britain’s coxless four to victory at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004. Mere milliseconds ahead of the Canadian Champions, the win earned Pinsent’s place in Olympic history. Guests joining An Audience with Olympic Champion Matthew Pinsent, CBE on 9 September will enjoy fascinating stories from his extraordinary career, a champagne Laurent-Perrier reception and a four course dinner with accompanying wines, coffee and petits fours. Priced at £235 per person.

A Year in the life of Downton Abbey with Jessica Fellowes on 15 September will see Jessica Fellowes, niece to Julian Fellowes the creator of Downton Abbey, share her insights into the inspiration behind the show – her family. Ms Fellowes book, A Year in the Life of Downton Abbey, elaborates on the social climate of the early 20th century. By looking at favourite characters and the world they lived in, the book examines how the year 1924 unfolded at the country estate. The afternoon includes a glass of prosecco, three course lunch with accompanying wines, coffee and petits fours and a signed copy of A Year in the Life of Downton Abbey. Priced at £135 per person.

The 2015 Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons summer concludes with the Champagne Laurent-Perrier Gala Dinner on 25 September. Guests will end the summer in style by raising a glass with Raymond Blanc and Laurent-Perrier’s David Hesketh, and enjoys a unique range of fine champagnes from this esteemed, family owned house each perfectly paired with Raymond’s specially designed menu.
