Hotel Majestic Barriere Hosts Cannes Film Festival Closing Party
This event will be Hotel Majestic’s biggest evening event of the Festival, as well as its most gastronomically exciting. The hotel’s Chef Maryan Gandon will serve 1,400 guests in a cocktail-style dinner party on the beach, featuring an assortment of 40 different cold and hot dishes with sweet and savory specialties. All the dishes and flavors on the menu will showcase cuisine of southeast France and its neighboring regions.

The focus of the menu is high quality and strong flavors. Chef Gandon has selected local and organic ingredients to ensure freshness and to highlight environmental sustainability. To entice guests from the cinema world, the hotel will serve carpaccio and an impressive spread of seafood featuring 3,000 sea urchins and 4,500 oysters. Other dishes will include risottos with other fresh ingredients like tomatoes and mozzarella inspired by Cannes’ close proximity to Italy. Cheese from the mountain pastures overlooking the Cote d’Azur will be on the evening’s menu as well.

For dessert, guests will be treated to local specialties such as Saint Tropze’s tarte tropezienne, candied lemons from Menton, nougat from Montelimar and Italian pannacotta as well as perennial favorites including a dozen different varieties of macaroons, chocolate treats and crème brûlée. In addition, a medley of apricots, strawberries and cherries will be served as a fruit salad with Mediterranean basil.
