How to Party in Style Along the Turkish Riviera

How to Party in Style Along the Turkish Riviera
It's easy to create private festivities every day on a Turkish yacht - the famed wooden gulet - or hop off and explore one of the many destinations during a cruise around this beautiful Mediterranean region.

Istanbul

Istanbul

After arriving in Istanbul, take a few days to explore this magical city. The streets of Taksim are teeming with clubs, pubs and bars catering to all tastes and desires. Babylon is the most well-known club in Beyoglu and has other locations in Cesme and Kilyos - a seaside village just outside of Istanbul. Live acts from around the world grace the stage at all Babylon locations with diverse musical styles ranging from Hip Hop, Reggae, and jazz to electronic dance music and popular Turkish music. Babylon Soundgarden is a yearly festival held in Kilyos that attracts global music lovers every June. This year's event will host popular acts Milky Chance and Oscar + the Wolf.

Cesme

The remarkable towns of Cesme and Alacati lie on the the shores of Izmir. Marrakech Beach club in Cesme is a large open-air club located right on the beach. If your feet are tired from nonstop dancing, then cool them off in the nearby sea. Tektekci in Alacati is the place to go for shots, shots and more shots. They create their own delectable flavors alongside traditional shots. Be sure to have a water break or you may forget your way home!

Bodrum

This lovely city is the go-to place for high end and fashionable nightlife. Halikarnas is a massive outdoor club blasting the latest international hits, and also hosts live acts throughout the summer. If you like Turkish club music and watching beautiful Russian dancers, go to Posh. For those more inclined to listen to rock music, then Kule Rock Bar is the ideal location. Cover bands play classic and contemporary rock hits with the occasional splash of metal, so everyone can sing along.

Fethiye

Alaturka Turkish Gulets in Fethiye

The Car Cemetery is the most recognizable locale as there is a massive car protruding from the building. If you've already had a few cocktails, then this place will be easy to find. The lively atmosphere is created by musical performances on most summer nights, and if there is a major soccer match, the staff is happy to show the game on TV. For good food, strong cocktails and views of the beach, head over to Buzz Bar in Oludeniz. Located in Paspatur, the old town of Fethiye, Deep Blue Bar is a great place if you enjoy rock music. Locals frequent this location as the staff is friendly and the drinks are stiff!

Kekova

Perhaps the most interesting place to party in Turkey is Smuggler's Inn. Resting on a peninsula in beautiful Gokkaya Bay, the bar is accessible only by boat. As many of the blue cruise tours have overnighters in Kekova, Smuggler's Inn is full of Aussies, Brits, Germans and everyone in between. Co-existing with the surrounding nature, this pirate themed bar goes until the wee hours in the morning. Don't worry about getting back to your gulet, the captains will make sure you're on board before your journey continues the next day.

Kas

Alaturka

After a day of diving, swimming or shopping in the wonderful world of Kas, you may want a quiet night on the town. Kas is an excellent place for intimate and comfortable bars and pubs, some playing loud music, while others are equipped with plenty of seating to rest your weary bodies. Look for the owner of Café Barcelona, know as Mr. Bean, as he will ensure you have a lovely evening at his cozy place. Sit outside on the cobble-stoned streets or relax inside. The wide variety of beer will quench your thirst. The entrance is a little difficult to find, but as the name suggests, Hideaway Café and Bar, is just that. The cafe is surrounded by vines, trees and blooming flowers, so pull up a cushioned chair and enjoy late night dining with a cold beer or local wine.

Antalya

And here we arrive in Antalya - the "sin city" of Turkey. Las Vegas has nothing on this city (except casinos of course), and the parties are grandiose in every sense of the word. Inferno is the largest and most popular club in Antalya, which you will understand why when you go. Live performers, top notch DJs and professional dancers grace the stage of this insanely loud nightclub. As the club fills with dancing bodies, foam will begin to cover the dance floor, creating the ultimate atmosphere of ecstasy. For a more relaxing environment with great food and service try Lobby and Lounge Bar in Belek. The gorgeous garden is a nice place to sit with friends telling stories about your unforgettable time in Turkey.
