She created her own brand for consulting out of a passion for luxury travel and now has more than 15 years of experience when it comes to designing trips. She began by arranging luxury travel experiences for family and friends, and then turned it into her career, dedicating most of her life to traveling around the world and sharing her own experiences on her social media @exotiktraveler.
How do you see social media marketing improving brands or hotels' image?
It basically drives quality traffic to the brand from all the people that are checking social media daily... Many people write us and ask about places that we have visited or for travel recommendations. It is a way to let them know about luxury hotels and to give people inspiration to find exciting new places. It is very important for us to stay up to date with the latest news of the industry.
What do you like most about working in the luxury travel market?
For me, it is the best job I could have ever imagined. There are always new destinations and new properties to discover and it is growing fast. I love to deliver the best quality experiences to my clients, always with the love and the small personal touches and hard-work to make their trips special. I just love when they contact me to help them create special memories, or even just as a consulting service.
What are your favorite vacation spots so far?
This is something that always depends on the seasons of the year and the moment you find yourself in... I have many favorite spots but definitely the Maldives and the Caribbean are at the top of the list.
What are your must-haves when you travel?
My camera, my laptop, comfortable shoes, and a tote bag. I'm always working even on trips!
