The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa Provides a European Escape for Luxury Weddings in Southern California
Since hosting its first wedding over a century ago – and some of the country's highest profile nuptials such as former U.S. President Richard Nixon and legendary actress Bette Davis – The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa has become one of Southern California's premier wedding destinations. The historic AAA Four Diamond hotel evokes the romance and enchantment of a European castle complete with grand staircases, hidden romantic alcoves and intricate fountains, among other architectural highlights.

“The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is one of the most enchanting wedding venues in Southern California, said owners Duane and Kelly Roberts. “We fell in love with the romance of The Inn when we saved it from destruction more than 20 years ago, and it is an honor and joy to offer loving couples such a special wedding experience year after year.”

From rehearsal and ceremony arrangements to the reception and accommodations, The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa offers dozens of romantic wedding and reception venues, including two historic chapels; a remodeled Grand Parisian Ballroom; a new Grand Parlor suite; stunning art galleries; secluded gardens and patios; soaring domes and towers; a world-class art collection; and opulent décor that provide the perfect setting for celebrating one of the most special days in a lifetime. The hotel's dedicated team of wedding professionals attends to every request to create a personalized, magical wedding experience.

Wedding Chapels

St. Francis of Assisi Chapel – The St. Francis of Assisi wedding chapel is exquisitely embellished with priceless treasures from around the world. Featuring an elegant beamed ceiling, ornate Mexican Mahogany wooden doors, the mid-eighteenth century 18-karat gold leaf Rayas Altar and seven Tiffany stained glass windows, the St. Francis of Assisi chapel can accommodate up to 150 seated guests.

St. Cecilia Chapel – Tucked into a corner of the St. Francis Atrio is the wedding chapel dedicated to St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music. The antique marriage altar of gesso and gold leaf, dated 1740, is one of the oldest objects at The Inn. Above the altar, the carved wooden ceiling panel shines with gold leaf, illuminated by the chapel's single window signed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies, the St. Cecilia chapel can accommodate up to 12 guests seated or up to 15 guests standing.

Banquet and Event Rooms

The Grand Parisian Ballroom – Mirroring the hotel's European architectural influences, the recently renovated Grand Parisian Ballroom resembles a baronial hall of a European castle and features exposed wood beam ceilings and a minstrel's gallery – a balcony for musicians traditionally found in great halls – eight spectacular crystal chandeliers, new custom-woven wool carpeting, intricate floor-length damask draperies framing treasured stained glass windows; grand oversized mirrors at the arched wall niches; and the hotel's precious 100-year-old Kimball Organ. The Grand Parisian Ballroom is the largest event space at the hotel with 2,684 square feet of space that can accommodate 50 to 300 guests.

The Grand Parlor – Often used as a bridal suite, this luxurious and private parlor suite features polished wood floors with Aubusson-style needlepoint rugs, Belgian damask wallpaper, gilded crystal lamps and elegant finishes in subtle hues of gold. The newly designed grand room and foyer are separated by full-height oyster satin drapes, delicately trimmed and tasseled in a European style. The Grand Parlor can accommodate up to 310 guests.

The Spanish Art Gallery – Richly appointed, the Spanish Art Gallery's regal 17th century European décor in a warm palette of gold offers the ultimate sophistication and exclusivity. The venue features a grand marble staircase with wrought iron and a ceiling richly draped in gilded canopy ambiance, bathing the room in pure extravagance. Dining and dancing under the exquisite art collection makes for an unforgettable event that is nothing short of magical. The Spanish Art Gallery can accommodate up to 150 guests.

The Galleria – Originally built as an art gallery and museum, the Galleria is located beside the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel and can accommodate events of 120 to 170 guests. Adorned with priceless, antique statues around the perimeter of the room, the Galleria also boasts a Tiffany stained-glass window.
