The Upper House Launches 'Bacchantes Afternoon Tea' With LALIQUE
The “Bacchantes” vase, designed in 1927, remains one of its founder René Lalique’s most celebrated creations. The “Bacchantes” motif is enhanced by a sculptural flacon, crowned with a stopper in the shape of an inverted cupola. The scent “LALIQUE de LALIQUE” is a fruity aroma, with a note of jasmine, tart, musky blackberry, bright green blackcurrant leaf, suave, and curvy-fleshed pear, along with vanilla, musk, and sandalwood.

The “Bacchantes Afternoon Tea” contains several berries inspired by the decoration of the LALIQUE Amethyst Éclat perfume, which uses peony as the top note with a bright, sparkling and modern touch. Peony with a tender floral aroma is frequently used in fine perfumery. Its fragrance brings together the scent of roses with bright accents evoking dew or lily of the valley.

Bacchantes Afternoon Tea

From September 5 to October 30, 2016, guests can enjoy a tea set that captures the essence of fragrance and color from the Bacchantes. The afternoon tea set includes the purple blackberry yogurt macarons, raspberry lemon roll cake, and caramel-tonka bean gateaux. Savory highlights such as the special foie gras torchon, Baba Ganoush-filled piquillo pepper, vitello tonnato wrap roll, traditional smoked salmon finger sandwich, and other delicious tea items are not to be missed.

Guests will also receive a voucher for a special LALIQUE Vial Experience Set and enjoy shopping privileges at LALIQUE stores in Hong Kong.

Priced at approx. US$37.39 per person and approx. US$68.33 for two, Bacchantes Afternoon Tea will be served daily from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Café Gray Deluxe.
