Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat, New Glamping Destination near Toronto
Located an hour from the Greater Toronto Area, Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat will introduce urbanites to a new, luxe way of experiencing the great outdoors. With elegant log-framed safari tents, king-size beds, soaker tubs and private outdoor dining areas, this is camping like never before. Guests will also be able to experience local beer and cider at The Watering Hole Guest Lounge & Bar, relax by the outdoor saltwater pool and hot tub, and indulge in some gourmet s’mores at the communal campfire.

Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat will join just a handful of glamping destinations located within Ontario, and aspires to be the premiere glamping getaway for stressed out Torontonians in need of a little nature therapy. The resort itself is located on 200 acres of pristine wilderness in the famed Northumberland Hills. The founders of Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat, John and Nancy Corcoran, were both key contributors in the early years of Ste. Anne’s Spa, and since have been offering luxury charters on their 50-ft sailboat in The Bahamas. They now bring their entrepreneurial spirit and hospitality expertise back to Canadian soil with Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat.

The Grand Opening celebration of Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat will be taking place on Saturday, August 26 and will feature tent & trail tours, the inaugural lighting of the campfire, as well as a complimentary BBQ and live music from one of Prince Edward County’s favourite musical talents, The Sophiasburgh All Star Band.
