World-Renowned Chefs Nobu Matsuhisa & Ferran Adria Visit Aqua Expeditions, Peru
Both chefs visited on separate occasions to cook with Executive Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino - a pioneer in Peru's blossoming culinary scene and owner of Lima's distinguished restaurant, Malabar - and learn about the innovative Peruvian cuisine served aboard.

Nobu Matsuhisa was welcomed aboard the company's newest vessel, the M/V Aria, in late 2011 for a three-day Amazon cruise (pictured, above), following a visit by chef Schiaffino to NOBU Tokyo in 2010. In addition to cooking with Chef Schiaffino, Chef Nobu enjoyed various activities including piranha fishing and hiking through the rain forest.

Chef Ferran Adrià was hosted on the M/V Aria last September during a visit to Lima for the city's annual Mistura food festival. A highlight of his stay included a visit to local markets to learn about the native communities and Amazonian foods, including the paiche, one of the river's largest fresh water fish. Chef Adrià also took some time to relax on the boat with an Aqua Expeditions signature Camu Camu Sour.

Both chefs Nobu and Adrià, along with Chef Schiaffino, are "brand ambassadors" for Aqua Expeditions, as well as the company's recently launched limited-edition "C42 AMAZON" luxury adventure watches. Created in partnership with Gianni Bulgari's Swiss brand Enigma, only 10 limited-edition watches have been made, available exclusively onboard the new M/V Aria and its sister ship, the M/V Aqua.
