Rooms & Suites: 84
The 84-room hotel comprises five converted hunting lodges spread through a 78-acre private valley within the village of Bad Gastein.
Thanks to the naturally radon-infused waters of the Gastein valley in which the 189-year-old Grüner Baum is located, it has long been popular with older guests who have visited for the curative effects of the thermal waters. The recent work has focused on enhancing the hotel's appeal to families with young children and teenagers. There has been a special and unique aura around the Gastein Valley for centuries. Whether that be as a world-renown motif of famous painters from the Romantic era, as an imperial spa region and a fantastic family holiday destination, or a dreamy ski area and the society meeting point of our time. Gastein has limitless variety - and is always worth a visit. Spa treatments, convalescing, relaxing amidst the unique mountainscape and the divine peace and quiet at the foot of the Hohe Tauern National park. Enjoy the stunning water and spectacles of nature during lovely Alpine hikes and winter sports pleasure. Experience the Gastein flair and the various offers at the spa metropolis (events, casino, etc.). There are brilliant excursions on offer here, like a trip to the Großglockner - Austria's highest mountain, a visit to the impressive giant ice world, a flying visit to the Salzkammergut or to the festival city of Salzburg with its world cultural heritage, the enchanting Old Town and the famous Advent market.
