Brazil's Ponta dos Ganchos Offers Whale Watching Excursions
The property offers a number of exciting activities for its guests on land, in the air and of course, in the waters of Brazil's legendary oceans, where their distinct location allows their guests the unique opportunity to go on whale watching excursions nearby.

From June through November, during Brazil's winter and spring seasons, the coast of Santa Catarina becomes the stage for an amazing natural spectacle with the arrival of the Southern Right Whales (Eubalena australis), as they escape the Antarctic winter and migrate north in search of warmer and calmer waters to reproduce and nurse their young calves. Imbituba in Santa Catarina has been recognized as the National Right Whale Capital and even holds an annual Right Whale Week celebration in September, when mothers and their calves are most often seen.
