Kona Village, a Rosewood Resort, welcomes travelers to step into a season of brand new culinary delights with Taste of Summer. Anchored by two culinary series, Paniolo & Pizzaiolo and Uncharted Spirits, Kona Village is welcoming acclaimed Pizzaiolo chefs and celebrated bartenders for collaboration residencies across property. Additionally, Kona Village’s Taste of Summer enhances a summer of relaxation and leisure with engaging culinary highlights, including chilled chocolate, summer cocktails, live fire paniolo cooking, and more.
Uncharted Spirits: This summer, Kona Village debuts a new guest bar series featuring talent from some of the world’s most acclaimed cocktail establishments. Over Fourth of July weekend, Mike Capoferri of Los Angeles’ Thunderbolt (#24, North America's 50 Best Bars) brings his eclectic, SoCal-inspired cocktails. In mid-August, Kevin Deidrich of San Francisco’s Pacific Cocktail Haven (#16, North America’s 50 Best Bars; 2024 James Beard Award finalist) offers his Asian-Pacific-forward creations, blending his island roots with Kona’s tropical spirit. Finally, for Labor Day Weekend, Kona Village is welcoming Max Reis of Los Angeles’ Mirate (#12, North America's 50 Best Bars; 2025 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards Finalist), finishing the summer with a Mexican-inspired flourish.
Paniolo & Pizzaiolo: Kona Village is unveiling Paniolo & Pizzaiolo, a new collaboration series welcoming acclaimed pizza makers for a riff on the resort's popular Paniolo Night, which celebrates the vibrant cultural heritage of Hawaiian paniolo ranching with an evening of live music and wood-fired cooking. Hosted by executive chef Robert Sulatycky with acclaimed Pizzaiolo guest chefs to be featured throughout the summer, this family-friendly experience amplifies the comfort of Italian-inspired flavors through a beachside, relaxed Hawaiian ambiance. In late July, Kona Village is welcoming David Nayfeld of San Francisco’s acclaimed Michelin-recognized Che Fico for a live fire, Italian-inflected dinner series at Kahuwai Cookhouse. For Labor Day Weekend, the property is thrilled to host NYC rising star and pizza maker of the year Giorgia Caporuscio of Don Antonio, both of whom will offer handcrafted, wood-fired pizzas for guests of all ages. Paired with crisp wines, chilled reds, sparkling sips, and rosé pours with hand-picked tomatoes and herbs, and other delights sourced right on property, Kona’s Paniolo & Pizzaiolo series is a fresh, tropical take on the pizza party, incorporating local ingredients and the bounty of the Island of Hawai’i.
Chilled Chocolate: Rooted in the spirit of summer, Kona is excited to unveil Chilled Chocolate, a frozen take on the nostalgic hot chocolate. Offering an array of health benefits and featuring sustainable sourcing and local ingredients, the sophisticated treat can be enjoyed by keiki and adults alike, with customizable toppings such as caramelized cacao nibs, as a fudge pop rolled in dark Hawaiian Chocolate, or paired with a selection of adaptogenic blends from coveted wellness brand Moon Juice. With its blend of local sourcing, tropical elements, and nourishing benefits, Chilled Chocolate is a unique summer delight that caters to all.
Island Roots: Join a bi-weekly communal dinner set under the kiawe trees. Spotlighting fresh produce sourced entirely from Hawai`i including the property’s on-site farm, Island Roots is a beloved Kona Village tradition, celebrating community and paying homage to the vibrant flavors thriving in their backyard.
