Thoughtful Wine Pairings at Mountain Shadows’ Sunday Supper Club
At the Sunday Supper Club series inside Hearth ’61 at Mountain Shadows in serene Paradise Valley, Arizona, the only requisite for membership is to show up and enjoy. One Sunday a month, the restaurant features an incredible winery, distillery or local purveyor. Savor four courses thoughtfully paired with beverages and enjoy conversation from Chef Charles Wiley and the special guest. On February 24, Robert Craig Winery will bring three of their renowned cabs and a beautiful chardonnay. Concentrating on small quantities of wine from distinctive Napa Valley vineyards, they create wines that clearly reflect the terroir, or the combination of soils, climate and viticultural characteristics of the growing locale. Treat your palate to Hamachi Crudo with roasted beets, Two Wash Ranch Guinea Hen with mizuna, Rosemary Roasted Rack of Lamb with smoked meyer lemon jam and Passion Fruit Pavlova with matcha sponge cake. Next in the event lineup is Frank Family Vineyards on March 24 and a “Farmer in the House” dinner with WillaKenzie Estate and Mr. Pat Duncan of Duncan’s Trading Co. on April 7. Each dinner starts at 6 p.m. and is $74 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made at 480.624.5400.
