“I first visited Rwanda in 1969 and it is wonderful that all these years later to see Rwanda becoming a luxury travel hotspot, with abundant wildlife and the verdant landscapes of the West African jungle meeting the East African savannah,” explains Abercrombie & Kent founder, chairman and CEO Geoffrey Kent. “Our guests are drawn to Rwanda by the chance to see critically endangered mountain gorillas in the cloud forests of Parc National des Volcans. Gorilla tracking appeals to travelers with an adventurous spirt and those who have visited other safari destinations. Nyungwe Forest is one of the oldest forests in Africa and is home to 13 different primate species, as well as more than 300 bird species -- 16 endemic to the forest -- and more than 75 different mammal species. Akagera National Park is a quintessential East African safari park, filled with a diversity of landscapes and wildlife.
