Brush Creek Ranch named among the Top 20 Resorts in the Mountain West in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2023 Reader’s Choice Awards, has unveiled a full lineup of special events for the 2024 summer season. A meticulously curated schedule of unique culinary, wine, and western-focused weekends feature top names in the industry such as best selling author Peter Attia, Yellowstone actor Chance Gilliland, and several world-renowned winemakers.
“Each year, we look for ways to elevate the guest experience at Brush Creek Ranch through new experiences, expanded culinary offerings and unique events,” said Mike Williams, Executive Vice President and COO of Brush Creek Ranch. “This summer, we have an extremely exciting event schedule with marquee names from the wine, wrangling, and culinary worlds.”
One of the summer’s biggest highlights is the Ranch’s iconic annual July 4th Independence Week Celebration taking place June 30 - July 7. Brand new this year is Friends of James Beard Food & Wine Weekend, hosted by the Ranch’s Executive Chef Ricky Biswas. Several award-winning winemakers including Wes Steffens and Mike and Kara Dunn will also visit the Ranch throughout the summer to take guests on an unforgettable journey in the world of wine.
The complete schedule of events at Brush Creek Ranch for the 2024 summer season includes:
Father’s Day Bourbon & Cigar Bar, June 16: Dads can relax this Father’s Day after a full day of casting fishing lines, hitting targets in the gun range and wrangling the kids. Hosted in the Saloon, the Brush Creek Distillery team will pour a tasting of handcrafted spirits and Special Release Bourbon, which will be accompanied by a selection of premium Apostate and Alec Bradley cigars with rich, balanced flavors, including hints of chocolate, sweet molasses, and coffee.
Amuse Bouche Wine Weekend with John Schwartz, June 20-23: Experience the wines made in partnership by John Schwartz and Heidi Barrett, dubbed the “first lady of wine.” In 2002, the partners recognized that the cult wine phenomenon had created an almost aspirational class structure among collectors and set out to make their Napa Valley wine available to a much broader consumer base. The weekend will include special wine events, tastings, a cooking class at The Farm at Brush Creek and a wine pairing dinner in The Farm’s wine tunnel.
4th of July Independence Week, June 30 - July 7: This Wild West Week includes a Welcome Reception Sip & Shop with baby llamas, live music, and pop-up shops for custom fitted cowboy hats and leather bags; the Annual Independence Day Fair & Rodeo; a Culinary Competition among Ranch chefs; live Dueling Pianos featuring Howl at the Moon; “Fire in the Sky” 4th of July fireworks show; Stars & Stripes Creekside Cookout; and a headlining country concert.
Marchesi Antinori Wine Weekend, July 18-21: Celebrate exceptional wine with one of the most renowned and oldest family-owned vineyards of Tuscany. Learn about the Antinori family’s long line of winemakers, including Piero, the first Italian to be named Decanter’s ‘Man of the Year’ in 1985. Guests will taste award-winning wines, such as Solaia, the first Italian wine to be named the ‘World’s Number One Wine’ by Wine Spectator in 1997. Highlights include a Llama Hike & Wine Tasting and 5-Course Wine Pairing Dinner at The Farm.
Winemaker Weekend with Mike and Kara Dunn, August 1-4: Join winemakers Mike and Kara Dunn of Dunn Vineyards to enjoy the deep flavors and chewy tannins of the thick-skinned grapes grown on the distinctive Howell Mountain AVA. A special weekend itinerary includes a Meet the Winemaker Reception, Fly-Fishing & Wine Tasting Experience and 5-Course Wine Pairing Dinner at The Farm.
Winemaker Weekend with Wesley Steffens, Vineyard 7 & 8, August 8-11: A weekend of wine, culinary, and artistry with winemaker Wes Steffens. “Seven” being a number of luck in western culture, while “eight” follows the meanings of prosperity and happiness in eastern culture — Vineyard 7 & 8 is the culmination of the family’s pursuit for producing fine wines. Weekend highlights include a Meet the Winemaker Reception, Horseback Riding & Wine Tasting Experience, Astrophotography & Wine Tasting and a 5-Course Wine Pairing Dinner at The Farm.
Friends of James Beard Food & Wine Weekend, August 16-18: Organized by Executive Chef Biswas, Brush Creek Ranch will host a Friends of James Beard Dinner event for the first time ever.
