Capri Palace L'Olivo Restaurant Awarded Second Michelin Star
Both Owner Tonino Cacace and General Manager Ermanno Zanini congratulate Executive Chef Oliver Glowig and his team for the restless efforts and great results. Oliver Glowig joined the Capri Palace Hotel & Spa in 2002 and offers a wide selection of traditional Neapolitan dishes, personal interpretations emphasized with low calories and organic food. In 2005, L'Olivo Restaurant was awarded its first Michelin Star. It has remained since the only restaurant on the isle of Capri to boast any Michelin star.

Last year the restaurant L'Olivo was completely furnished with prestigious materials by Loro Piana: the cachemire, the cotton and the soft wool make this ambience unique in elegance and charm.

On April 9th 2009 the hotel and restaurant will reopen for the summer season and welcome guests to experience the new star of Anacapri.

About Michelin Stars - They are the best known and most highly respected of all restaurant ratings, not just in France where they originated, but in 22 countries that the guides now cover. One star signifies a very good restaurant; Two stars signify excellent cooking that is worth a detour; Three stars signify exceptional cuisine that is worth a special journey. Restaurant-goers place more trust in them as a mark of quality than any other award or rating. For chefs, Michelin stars are the ultimate accolade.
