It would have been interesting to wear a heart rate monitor during my safari experience. There were moments so serene and beautiful I could take in the wind, sunset, animals, and exhale a calm, relaxed sigh. Then there was the night safari filled with the sounds of animals in the darkness when I was only a few feet from a lion pride and I was able to breathe, well, not a calm, relaxed sigh. It was exhilarating. These fluctuations encompass the adventure of the excursions offered through your stay at the Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara.

Guests are guided through the African savannah along a dirt road in an open-air Land Cruisers with no obstructed views. Inhabiting the area are animals like Antelope, Zebras, Warthogs, Elephants and a wide variety of the big cats. The animals are free to roam and in their natural environment. For extra adventure, there is also a night safari using infrared light to spot animals. Since the hotel is located on a conservancy vehicles are limited so guests enjoy the private, serene experience. No mini buses here.
