Las Ventanas al Paraíso, a Rosewood Resort, announces the ‘Best of Baja’, a summer-long celebration that spotlights distinguished culinary and artistic talents from Mexico’s rich and varied Baja Peninsula – from Todos Santos and La Paz to Valle de Guadalupe. The widely-acclaimed resort lies between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, at the tip of the Baja peninsula, and will celebrate the region’s cultural landscape to create unforgettable and unique guest experiences that pay tribute to the region – all without needing to leave the resort.
Beginning in June Las Ventanas al Paraíso, a Rosewood Resort will host a roster of notable chefs and artists, innovative winemakers, and emerging fashion labels from ‘detour destinations’ throughout the region. Each month will bring a new, distinctive, and limited-time collaboration to the property during the summer months that is ideal for short or impromptu stays when there is limited availability to explore beyond the resort. To honor the culinary talent in the region, three distinct restaurants will be partnering with the resort on select days during June, July, and August.
Best of Baja at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, a Rosewood Resort, will present the following:
An Unforgettable Culinary Encounter: NEMI: On June 26-27, contemporary Mexican restaurant NEMI will join Sea Grill for an unforgettable seaside dining experience. Nemi honors authentic ingredients from across the country to deliver sustainable and elevated cuisine, and is widely considered a ‘culinary landmark’ in La Paz. Set against the endless blues of the Sea of Cortez, this pop-up invites guests to savor the flavors of Baja in their purest forms.
A Hat Inspired by Baja: Nick Fouquet x Las Ventanas: Over Fourth of July weekend, lauded hatmaker Nick Fouquet will present an intimate ‘Hat Bar’ pop-up. Fouquet has designed a limited-edition hat inspired by the wild spirit of Baja and exclusive to the resort. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail and an effortless sense of luxury, the bespoke hat will reflect Baja’s raw beauty.
Oystera: A Coastal Culinary Experience: On July 10-11, Todos Santos’ Michelin-recognized, authentic oyster bar Oystera will collaborate with the resort on an extraordinary culinary experience shaped by the rhythms of the sea. Oystera offers innovative dishes and the distinctive flavors of Baja through a thoughtfully curated menu that is harmoniously designed and sourced directly from the pristine waters of the region.
Fauna: A Celebration of Baja’s Culinary Spirit: Over Labor Day weekend, the award-winning Fauna will present a two-night culinary collaboration on August 28-29. Situated within the immersive Bruma Wine Resort in the Valle de Guadalupe and named one of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants, Fauna is celebrated for its creativity and reverence for the land. Led by Chef David Castro Hussong and Pastry Chef Maribel Aldaco Silva, recipient of Latin America’s Best Pastry Chef 2023, they will craft an artful menu and dessert experience that captures the flavors of Baja with delicate touches and bold innovation.
