Los Cabos Offers Travelers the Ultimate Foodie Paradise
From certified organic farms, catch and cook programs, cooking classes, world-renowned restaurants and more, Los Cabos is pleased to share some of the destination's most delicious offerings.

Home to two certified organic farms - Flora Farm and Huerta Los Tamarindos - Los Cabos offers a unique culinary experience that tastes farm fresh. At Flora Farm guests can take a guided tour of the ten-acre farm in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains before dining at the trendy Flora's Field Kitchen and enjoying a "Farmarita", a unique farm twist on the traditional margarita. Over at Huerta Los Tamarindos visitors can also enjoy a rare farm-fresh dining experience at the farm's restored sugar cane factory turned restaurant and cooking lesson classroom. One of the destination's most luxurious properties, One&Only Palmilla, which is set to reopen April 20, 2015, is offering a "Farm-Life Cuisine Package" which incorporates a tour and cooking class with Huerta Los Tamarindos owner, Enrique Silva, among other world-class culinary offerings. For more details on this package please contact One&Only Palmilla directly.

Often referred to as "The World's Aquarium," the waters of Los Cabos are abundant in marine life making it one of the best fishing destinations in the world and providing local restaurants some of the freshest seafood available. One resort group, Solmar Hotels & Resorts, is allowing visitors to take advantage of the plentiful waters with a new "Hook & Cook" program letting guests fish during the day and enjoy their catch for dinner that very evening. The resort group's chefs can prepare fish in a variety of styles served with vegetables for as little as $12 USD per person. Arrangements can be made directly through the resort's concierge. Additionally, Sandos Finisterra offers a similar program where the resort's chef can prepare fish to a guests liking or his own special creation.

Various other one-of-a-kind dining experiences that foodies will savor long after their return from Cabo are available throughout the destination. At Hacienda Encantada's Los Riscos Restaurant guests can reserve the most sought after table - La Mesa del Patron - to enjoy a special selection of food and wine while overlooking the beach and crashing waves. The menu for this table is a specially selected wine-pairing menu not available elsewhere. Pricing for this offering begins at $103 USD per guest and reservations can be made directly through the resort's concierge. One&Only Palmilla's Agua by Larbi also offers a special table which large groups especially enjoy not only for the view but the conveyer belt making for great sharing capabilities. For those seeking a truly surprising dinning experience, Casianos in San Jose del Cabo offers spontaneous dinning where patrons simply state dietary restrictions and the chef takes it from there preparing a fresh and seasonal wine pairing dinner. Reservations for this can be made via phone +52 624 142 59 28 or through email (ventas@casianos.com). Additionally, The Resort at Pedregal recently introduced a cliff-side Champagne Terrace that is a must-visit for those interested in learning about the intrinsic relationship between food, salt and the legendary drink. Guests can enjoy a mineral salt, cheese and champagne pairing while taking in splendid views of the Pacific. For more information guests are encouraged to check with the property directly.

While its evident that there are many outstanding restaurants to choose from throughout the destination there are a few that shine a little brighter as seven of the destination's restaurants recently ranked among AAA's Four Diamond Restaurants including Cocina del Mar (Esperanza, An Auberge Resort), El Farallon (The Resort at Pedregal), La Frida Restaurant (Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach), Agua by Larbi (One&Only Palmilla), Arrecifes Restaurant (Westin Resort & Spa Los Cabos), Market by Jean-Georges (One&Only Palmilla) and The Restaurant (Las Ventanas, al Paraiso).

In addition to the destination's year-round great culinary offerings there are also several festivals which take place throughout the year including the destination's annual Sabor a Cabo or "Flavors of Cabo" event which takes place each December, The Resort at Pedregal's Food Wine & Food Festival taking place in July and the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar's Wine & Cheese Festival taking place in March.
