Lotte New York Palace Launches Exclusive Tours of St. Patrick's Cathedral

Lotte New York Palace, on top of offering luxury accommodations and world class service, the hotel has recently added two guided tours available exclusively to guests. These include both a completely private tour of the famed St. Patrick's Cathedral as well as a historian guided tour of the historic and iconic Villard Mansion, which serves as the entrance to the hotel. As one of Manhattan’s most iconic landmark properties, the Lotte New York Palace is thrilled to offer these incredible new tours for guests to experience.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral Tour:

Reserved as a premium VIP experience for Palace guests only, guests can enjoy a curated exclusive experience of a guided tour of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. This tour is led by a cathedral historian, who showcases many areas that are not accessible to the public. Guests will wind through the lower labyrinth of the Cathedral’s halls and staircases, leading to the sacristy, below the main alter and into the bishop’s crypt. The tour guide will share the history of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and lead VIP guests up the marble stairs and into the heart of the cathedral, onto the alter. The tour concludes in the choir loft, showcasing unsurpassed views of the Cathedral from a vintage point that few have been privileged to experience.

The Palace Historian Tour

The Palace History Tour takes place every Saturday, beginning at 10:00 AM. Join the Palace Historian for a glimpse of the Gilded Age with a one-hour guided tour of the Villard Mansion, one of New York City’s few surviving Gilded Age mansions. Designed by the revered architectural firm of McKim, Mead & White, this iconic landmark remains virtually unchanged since its construction in 1884.
