The Five Star, Five Diamond Acqualina Resort & Residences located in Miami’s Sunny Isles Beach is recognized for providing great living and lifestyle experiences built on trust and value. As the ultra-luxury resort prepares to reopen on June 15, 2020, Acqualina announces new safety and cleanliness practices in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure guests needs and concerns are addressed and exceeded.

Acqualina remains committed to protecting all guests, residents, team members and the community by implementing the necessary safety measures to comply with the recommendations and guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The health and safety program offers elevated standards for hygiene and cleanliness throughout the hotel. Acqualina Spa by ESPA, Il Mulino New York, the beachfront Costa Grill restaurant, pool and beach areas and the award-winning AcquaMarine children’s program will all re-open with the resort and with increased measures in place.

These extensive safety measures include the use of innovation sanitation technology in all interior and exterior areas including electrostatic disinfectant tools that combine EPA approved chemicals with electrostatic molecules to sanitize all spaces ensuring that every area of the property has been effectively and regularly cleaned to the highest standard. This is in addition to resort’s superior level of cleaning and hygienic protocols in place already as well as frequent hand washing, use of gloves and face masks.

The resort’s commitment to air quality will meet the highest standards dictated by certified organizations such as the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers, the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration and will include regular cleaning of all air filters and air conditioning systems.

A non-contact temperature check will be conducted for all guests, residents and team members. Guests are required to wear a face covering when traversing throughout the property. Personal protective equipment and enhanced training will also be provided to all team members. The resort’s Director of Environmental Engineering spearheads all protocols to improve and maintain the environment to protect human health. Ownership and top executives at Acqualina are committed to the highest levels of health and sanitation practices, and never hesitate to invest in resources, tools and equipment that will improve the safety and well-being of all guests and the overall community.

Hand sanitizer dispensers, touchless whenever possible, will be placed at key resident, guest and team member entrances and contact areas. There will be health and hygiene reminders throughout the property.

Guests will be informed about physical distancing measures by standing at least six feet away from other groups of people not traveling with them when, using elevators or moving around the property. Restaurant tables, Pool & Beach equipment and other physical layouts will be arranged to ensure appropriate distancing. All resort outlets will comply with, or exceed, local or state mandated occupancy limits.

Designated team members in security, engineering, housekeeping, pool and beach and restaurants have completed disinfection, sanitation and safety training program.
