This summer, The Barcelona EDITION has launched its new seasonal menus for guests and locals alike to enjoy. Its signature restaurant Veraz introduces a new terrace for alfresco dining together with a new locally inspired market menu.  Heading up the property’s popular signature restaurants and bars, Veraz and The Roof, Executive Chef Pedro Tassarolo has used his wealth of experience, having trained at Mugaritz in the Basque Country and world-renowned El Bulli, Chef Pedro Tassarolo brings a unique style of dining to the city inspired by the local culture.

At Veraz, guests can enjoy dishes with the freshest, market seasonal ingredients from the neighboring Santa Caterina Market. Dinner and all-day menu highlights include Folgueroles bread with roseta tomato and olive oil, Fried anchovies with fresh lemon or Organic beef skirt steak from Girona with crispy potatoes and padron peppers. For dessert, hero dishes include Veraz rice pudding with cinnamon biscuit praliné, citrus gel and preserved lemon, Peach pie with almond frangipane, fresh peach and vanilla ice cream or a classic Cheesecake with seasonal fruit. New to the drinks menu at Veraz is an expertly curated selection of vermouth and sherry wines, including red and white vermouths from the Tarragona region, palo cortado, manzanilla or fino. The terrace at Veraz, located at the front of the hotel, offers guests an alfresco dining experience. Looking out over the Santa Caterina Market, it is the perfect spot for long sunshine-filled lunches, and late dinners or drinks with family and friends.

In the evenings, guests and locals alike can enjoy candlelit dinners with live music every Friday and Saturday night with jazz, funk and acoustic covers. For breakfast choose from classics such as avocado toast, shakshuka and vegan coconut chia pudding. Guests can also choose from the bottomless cava weekend brunch menu, priced at 35 euros per person and including two dishes of your choice, specialty coffee, and free-flowing cava and mimosas. On the 10th floor you’ll find The Roof, this must-visit destination and intimate oasis in the heart of Barcelona offers an incomparable panoramic view of the city, with elegant indoor and outdoor seating and a small outdoor pool, whilst serving light dishes designed to be enjoyed with friends and family. Its menu focuses on the flavours of Asia, inspired by Chef Pedro Tassarolo own personal experiences around the world, with small plates such as Korean style fried chicken, Vegetarian donburi, Thai salad or Scallops and prawn ssam. The bar is a unique piece of travertine marble where the best bartenders in Barcelona offer a fresh and innovative seasonal menu consisting of cocktails and various healthy options such as natural juices, smoothies, kombuchas and mocktails. Cocktail highlights include the Clara de Yuzu which includes yuzu sake, beer & lemon sherbet, Thai Sunset which includes Montsant red wine, yuzu, hibiscus, lemon and soda as well as refreshing mocktails such as Butterfly Effect which contains pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, jasmine cordial & ginger ale.
