Ted Turner Expeditions Launches Fall Photo Tours in New Mexico
Under the guidance of renowned expert Jerry Courvoisier, the tours are based out of Turner's Sierra Grande Lodge & Spa in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico (located between Armendaris and Ladder Ranches, also owned by Turner) and include three nights' lodging inclusive of workshop tuition.

The fall 2016 workshops are scheduled for:

September 22-25
September 27-30
October 11-14
October 18-21
November 17-20

Reservations for the photography workshops are limited to small group sizes to provide exclusive access to the southern New Mexico properties. A maximum of eight participants will explore camera techniques for capturing images on digital SLRs, as well as point-and-shoot cameras and iPhones, and will allow participants to learn about the history, geography and biology of both ranches. In case you need to make a decision on a point-to-shoot camera, here is a review of the recommended point and shoot cameras. Participants will have more than 500,000 acres of sprawling terrain to photograph, featuring mountain views, desert vistas, diverse flora and wildlife, such as Ted Turner's bison herds, big horn sheep, African Oryx, elk, deer, pronghorn and more.

The Jerry Courvoisier Turner Ranch Photography Workshop packages include: three nights' lodging at Sierra Grande Lodge & Spa; photo workshop tuition; Tuesday and Thursday night dinners at "The Restaurant" by distinguished chef Tatsu Miyazaki; daily breakfasts; a private, daily mineral bath; walking tours of the town; and three Ted Turner Expeditions-guided tours of Ladder and Armendaris Ranches.

Rates for the photo workshops begin at $2,125 per person, plus tax. For more information about Sierra Grande Lodge & Spa, visit www.sierragrandelodge.com.
