The Hay-Adams Unveils Decadent $400 Hot Chocolate

The Hay-Adams has unveiled DC’s most decadent hot chocolate, available through the month of December as part of the hotel’s noted Holiday Tea service in The Lafayette restaurant.

The Hay-Adams Hot Chocolate is an exquisite and indulgent take on a classic hot chocolate, made with Christopher Elbow’s gourmet cocoa noir dark drinking chocolate, served with a chocolate lattice, homemade marshmallow, homemade whipped cream, and topped with edible gold leaf. For those looking to splurge, Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac is added, creating a one-of-a-kind drink that is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.

The hot chocolate is prepared and served tableside and plated with gingerbread cookies from pastry chef Elenor Apolonio-Frantz.

This incredible hot chocolate will be served exclusively as part of The Hay-Adams’ Holiday Tea service, which will take place on December 8, December 15, and December 22, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
