The Rise of Branded Residences

The Rise of Branded Residences

In uncertain times, the appeal of branded residential has never been so strong, with the number of developments set to double in the next five years. With an array of desired locations, paired with top-of-the-line amenities, VIP perks, and service to rival a luxury hotel, branded residences offer a lifestyle aligned with the ideals each brand represents. Backed by the prestige of world-renowned hospitality operators, luxury buyers can find reassurance in the level of comfort, quality, and design these residences afford, making it a sound investment.

SB Architects, an international architecture firm focusing on hospitality, residential and mixed-use developments, has seen the demand for branded residential explode in recent years. Savills reports that the branded residential sector has “grown by 230% over the last decade” and with the sector’s resiliency, that number is due to grow exponentially. For most buyers, larger spaces to gather with family and friends, transformational spaces allowing for work/play, outdoor living, and wellness amenities will be top of mind when choosing their future home.

Since 1960, SB Architects has developed iconic destinations for visionary developers and brands, both locally and globally. Focusing on site-specific research that sets the foundation for the design, the firm honors each site by designing solutions inspired by the regional vernacular, local materials, and unique sense of place inherent in each property. In recent years, the firm has turned its attention to branded residential, working with top operators across the globe.

Historically in the U.S. market, growth in the branded residential sector is going global, with new hotspots emerging. From the tropics to the mountains, spanning high-rise, mixed-use to timeshares, SB Architects has been a big player in the sector. A selection of their recent branded residential projects include:
