In collaboration with Veuve Clicquot, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco announces the launch of the Solaire Terrasse featuring Veuve Clicquot, starting July 28 with brand new food and beverage programming available this summer and fall. Additionally, in advancing the hotel’s environmental sustainability goals, Executive Chef Patrick O’Sullivan and his culinary team presents the Chef’s Herb Garden to provide guests freshly picked herbs and plants in new seasonal dishes at both The Lobby Lounge and Parallel 37.

TERRACE COURTYARD

Solaire Terrasse featuring Veuve Clicquot

In celebration of Veuve Clicquot’s 250th anniversary, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco opens its doors to the Solaire Terrasse featuring Veuve Clicquot this summer and fall, inviting guests to enjoy Veuve Clicquot Champagne in The Courtyard overlooking the city’s iconic skyline. As guests enjoy the tranquility of The Courtyard featuring roses and a chef’s herb garden, a selection of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, Veuve Clicquot Non-Vintage Rosé and La Grande Dame by the glass or bottle and champagne cocktails featuring Veuve Clicquot Rich and herbs from the garden will be offered for guests to sip and indulge. Guests can pair their beverage with an exquisite menu featuring a Seafood Tower for Two, Seafood Tower for Two with Caviar, and a Gelato Festival cart offering a selection of dairy and vegan oat gelatos.
Seafood Tower for Two ($160, exclusive of tax and gratuity) 

  • 6 jumbo gulf prawns, a pound of Alaskan snow crab legs, a half-dozen Beausoleils oysters, two Maine lobster tails served on crushed ice with cocktail sauce, house hot sauce, fresh lemon, Marie Rose sauce, mignonette
  • Includes an assortment of Acme Bread, cultured butter, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic

Seafood Tower for Two with Caviar ($335, exclusive of tax and gratuity)

  • 6 jumbo gulf prawns, a pound of Alaskan snow crab legs, a half-dozen Beausoleils oysters, two Maine lobster tails served on crushed ice with cocktail sauce, house hot sauce, fresh lemon, Marie Rose sauce, mignonette
  • Includes an assortment of Acme Bread, cultured butter, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic
  • Includes one ounce of Private Label Imperial Osetra caviar served with traditional accompaniments, potato chips and toast points

Gelato Festival Cart

  • The Gelato Festival Cart serves World Master-winning gelatos from around the world from the prestigious gelato tournament held in over 22 countries for over a decade. Guests will select from a menu including salted caramel, vanilla and vegan options including dark chocolate, hazelnut and Sicilian sunrise sorbet.

The Solaire Terrasse featuring Veuve Clicquot in The Terrace Courtyard is available July 28 to September 30 from Thursday through Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (summer and fall and weather permitting). Chef’s Herb Garden
The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco is taking another step into environmental sustainability by implementing a Chef’s Herb Garden in the outdoor Terrace Courtyard, led by Executive Chef Patrick O’ Sullivan. Following the goals of The Ritz-Carlton Strategy for Environmental Sustainability, the Chef’s Herb Garden will further reduce food waste, plus engage and inspire employees and guests in the hotel’s conservation efforts. Executive Chef Patrick O’ Sullivan and his team worked together to plant a variety of herbs and plants to be freshly picked and incorporated in seasonal dishes in both The Lobby Lounge and Parallel 37. Guests can visit the herb garden to discover the upcoming herbs and plants:

  • Purple Blue Lavender
  • Opal Basil
  • Chocolate Mint, Strawberry Mint and Spear Mint
  • Rosemary
  • Golden Sage
  • Thyme
  • Lavender Provence
  • Shiso aka Ohba
  • Dill

A selection of new seasonal dishes and cocktails featuring fresh herbs from the Chef’s Herb Garden include Grilled K&J Orchards Stone Fruit and Burrata with crispy fava beans, freshly picked basil from the garden, olive oil and Acme sourdough; and a Lemon Drop cocktail with Belvedere Vodka Organic infused with lemon and basil from the herb garden.

The Chef’s Herb Garden in The Terrace Courtyard is open to the public to view.
