Viceroy Riviera Maya has recently partnered with local, creative influencers including Farid Rueda and Mariana Meraz, to kick off the hotel’s ‘Inner Viceroy’ series. The initiative will see the resort invite creatives from all walks of life to visit the hotel, be inspired and reignite their innermost creative fire.
Farid Rueda recently designed and created a breath-taking mural – located at the heart of the resort, in the hotel’s reception area – taking inspiration from the local surroundings. The piece is composed of floral and decorative elements full of color to convey the beauty of the surrounding tropical area. Known for his use of vivid colors, Rueda choses to paint elements of Mexico’s culture and heritage in a style which is uniquely his own.
Mariana Meraz, an award-winning director and photographer, visited the resort earlier this year to produce her short film, ‘Pequeño Jade.’ The 13-minute Spanish-language film tells the story about embarking on a personal voyage and diving deep into the soul, where self-discovery and creative expression eagerly await.
